About Us:Jack Sandlin, MBA CFE CFS Experience: Jack Sandlin has over 35 years of law enforcement and investigations experience. During the time that Jack served with the Indianapolis Police Department he was assigned as Chief Investigator for the Marion County Grand Jury responsible for managing complex white collar crime cases; organized the first White Collar Crime Unit for the Indianapolis Police Department and served as Deputy Chief of Police. A former law firm administrator and former Adjunct Professor with Indiana University at Indianapolis, Jack currently actively manages this Veteran Owned Business. Education: Jack was awarded an AS in Criminal Justice from the University of Indianapolis, a BS in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is a Certified Police Officer from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Jean R. Patterson, CPA, MBA, CFE Experience: Jean has over 25 years accounting management and tax experience. During that time, her work focused on small business and the dental field in particular. She is also active in litigation support and business fraud risk assessment. Education: Jean earned a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Indiana University. Carrie Coulter Experience: Carrie Coulter first joined Jack Sandlin & Associates part-time in 1998 while attending college. In 1994 Carrie became full time and is focused on education and fraud prevention. Carrie previously taught at the elementary school level. Carrie currently serves the company in a variety of support roles. Education: BA - Judson College, Elgin, Illinois, Education. Stephen F. (Steve) Thompson Experience: Steve spent more than 20 years with the Indianapolis Police Department, working a variety of assignments including White Collar Fraud, Homicide, Narcotics investigations and dignitary protection. Steve also worked 18 years as a Corporate Security Investigator for a major transportation company with responsibilities for internal and external theft, fraud and worker’s compensation claims. Education: Steve
holds a BS
Degree in Criminal Justice from
Experience: Bev has 14 years of experience working in the medical field, including coding for medical claims. Bev has also implemented procedures and follow-up processes for Medicare Secondary Payer. Her experience includes auditing and verifying hospital and physician charges. Education: Certificates in Medical Terminology and Courses relating to Medical Coding (IUPUI.)
