About Us:

Jack Sandlin,

Experience:  Jack Sandlin has over 35 years of law enforcement and investigations experience. During the time that Jack served with the Indianapolis Police Department he was assigned as Chief Investigator for the Marion County Grand Jury responsible for managing complex white collar crime cases; organized the first White Collar Crime Unit for the Indianapolis Police Department and served as Deputy Chief of Police. 

A former law firm administrator and former Adjunct Professor with Indiana University at Indianapolis, Jack currently actively manages this Veteran Owned Business.

Education:  Jack was awarded an AS in Criminal Justice from the University of Indianapolis, a BS in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, and was a Certified Police Officer from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

Greg Wright,

Experience:  Greg Wright has a variety of financial and insurance related experience. A former Manager of Capitol Budget Analysis, Division and Plate Controller for Rockwell International; Prior experience in quality and manufacturing audits and evaluating capital engineering projects. Greg has held insurance and securities licenses for over 30 years and is also an insurance broker-consultant. Greg was the first in Indianapolis to negotiate a direct contract between a physician-hospital (PHO) and an employer. For 9 years he also wrote a weekly investment and insurance column in the Indianapolis Business Journal. Throughout his career, Greg has been involved in the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud related activities.

Education:  MBA - Butler University; Certified Fraud Examiner; Certified Fraud Specialist; Certified Financial Planner; Chartered Life Underwriter; Chartered Financial Consultant.

Carrie Coulter

Experience:  Carrie Coulter joined Jack Sandlin & Associates part-time in 1998 while attending college. In 1994, Carrie became a full time investigator for the company. Carrie is a general investigator and previously taught at the elementary school level. Carrie currently serves the company as President of the corporation.

Education:  BA - Judson College, Elgin, Illinois, Education.

Stephen F. (Steve) Thompson

Experience:  Steve spent more than 20 years with the Indianapolis Police Department, working a variety of assignments including White Collar Fraud, Homicide, Narcotics investigations and dignitary protection.  Steve also worked 18 years as a Corporate Security Investigator for a major transportation company with responsibilities for internal and external theft, fraud and worker’s compensation claims.

Education:  Steve holds a BS Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University – Indianapolis and a MA Degree from the University of Indianapolis.

Duane Burgess

Experience:  Duane is a trained sub rosa operative.  His primary experience working for an Indiana Sheriff’s Office in White Collar, Homicide and Narcotics investigations has helped to develop his overt and covert investigative skills.  Burgess also served for several years as the Chief of the Southport Indiana Police Department.

Education:  Investigator Burgess is a Certified Law Enforcement Officer in Indiana.

J. David Lee CPA

Experience:   David has 18 years in public accounting; 20 years as CFO of an Environmental Construction Company (retired 2009) and continues his consulting work with small businesses on tax and accounting matters, to include internal and external controls.

Education:  1966 Ball State U BS Business Administration

Bev Moss

Experience:  Bev has 14 years of experience working in the medical field, including coding for medical claims.  Bev has also implemented procedures and follow-up processes for Medicare Secondary Payer.  Her experience includes auditing and verifying hospital and physician charges. 

Education:  Certificates in Medical Terminology and Courses relating to Medical Coding (IUPUI.)
